Arkema Evatane EVA
High-polarity EVA copolymer (VA 33%, MFI 45) developed for halogen-free flame-retardant cable compounds and high mineral filler loading.
Grade Summary
Evatane 33-45 offers 33% vinyl acetate and a melt flow of 45 g/10 min. Its polarity helps wet and hold high levels of mineral fillers such as aluminium trihydroxide and magnesium hydroxide used in halogen-free flame-retardant (HFFR) systems.
Typical uses include HFFR cable insulation and jacket, semi-conductive shielding, bitumen modification and polyolefin toughening.

Differentiated Module
Polarity and balanced flow make this grade suited to mineral-filled cable compounds.
Evatane 33-45 is engineered to accept high filler loadings while keeping processing stable — the key to cost-effective, halogen-free flame-retardant cable.
Processing
Practical guidance for converting Evatane 33-45.
Good wetting of ATH/MH lets compounds reach high filler levels with acceptable torque and surface quality.
Suitable for insulation, jacket and semi-conductive layers; match screw design to filler content.
Blend into bitumen or polyolefin to improve flexibility, adhesion and low-temperature performance.
Dry before compounding to avoid moisture-driven porosity in thick cable sections.
