Arkema Evatane EVA
High-VA EVA copolymer (VA 40%, MFI 55) engineered for solubility in solvents, compatibility with inks and foam expansion.
Grade Summary
Evatane 40-55 carries 40% vinyl acetate with a melt flow of 55 g/10 min. The high VA level makes the polymer highly soluble in common solvents and highly compatible with polar tackifiers, plasticizers and pigments.
Typical uses include solvent-based adhesives, printing inks, cross-linked foam for footwear and hot melt formulations.

Differentiated Module
High vinyl acetate drives solubility and tack in demanding formulations.
At 40% VA, Evatane 40-55 dissolves readily in esters, ketones and aromatics, giving clear, high-solids adhesive and ink solutions. Its polarity also improves wetting of fillers and pigments.

Processing
Practical guidance for converting Evatane 40-55.
Low melting point (55 °C) means the resin is heat-sensitive; avoid prolonged high-temperature residence to prevent degradation.
Dissolves well in polar solvents; control solids and viscosity for coating and gravure ink lines.
Blend with blowing agent and cross-linker; tune cure profile for uniform cell structure.
Combine with tackifier and plasticizer to set tack, set time and flexibility.
Applications
Key markets for this high-VA grade.
