Evatane 18-150: Ultra-High Flow

Evatane 18-150 is the most fluid grade in the Evatane range, with a melt flow index of about 150 g/10 min and 18% vinyl acetate. That ultra-high flow makes it ideal as a carrier resin in masterbatch and as a fast-dispersing modifier.

Property Profile

• VA 18% (17-19%) — low polarity, good pigment wetting.
• MFI 150 (120-180) — very fluid, fast dispersion.
• Density 0.940 g/cm³, melting point about 87 °C, Shore A 92.
• Stiffer, more polyethylene-like than the high-VA grades.

Why Ultra-High Flow Helps

In masterbatch, the carrier must liquefy quickly and carry high pigment or additive loadings without forcing the line to run hot. The very low viscosity of 18-150 lets compounders disperse concentrates at high throughput and low temperature, reducing degradation risk.
